What a fun getaway with my sister-in-laws and nieces! We had a great mini vacation in New Orleans!
It was so much fun to hang out and just talk for hours. I even learned more about my in-laws relation to a member of Lynyrd Skynyrd.Which member...well I think he is going to be kept a secret!
My view on the 28th floor of the Marriott!
We went to cooking school. The best kind of cooking school, we only had to watch and eat. We also learned some great history about New Orleans threw the food and flavor influences. We learned how to make Gumbo, Jambalaya and Pralines!
My attempt at Gumbo when I got back home! It was good, but wow it takes a long time to make that roux just right!
The kids loved their gifts! Kensley got a turtle and carries it around with her everywhere and even sleeps with it!
Thanks Michelle for planning such a fabulous trip! It was so much fun. I am in for Vermont...
