We decided to have a little family vacation at the beach before the busy holiday weekend traffic. We went to Virginia beach where the weather was 66 degrees and sunny, nice for November. We stayed right on the boardwalk and had a great time.
Boardwalk by dayThe boardwalk has a festival of lights that goes on for miles with the lights display. At night, the boardwalk shuts down to let cars drive along it to see the lights. It is pretty neat to see in person.

It has been a while since Hayden was at the beach and he has never been to the beach while he has been walking. This was his reaction to having his toes in the sand. He wasn't sure what to think and had us hold his had for a while to walk. Then he got the hang of it and had a good time on the playground on the beach.
Abby got a minute of sun bathing in herself!
