Snowzilla 2016

This was the start of the snow and who knew it would keep us out of school for a week and a half!
 We made our measuring stick...
 ...and placed it outside.
Because of drifts and wind, we are estimating our snow total between 24-27 inches.

Now it is time to play!

The whole neighborhood was out and some of the neighbor kids were able to sled down the big hill Brendan created in our front yard!
The next day the hill became a tunnel fort. And what do you do when you have a fort, you eat lunch in it of course!
Play time is over, we have school projects and assignments to do. The school wide read-a-thon also begins.

Hayden is working on his president's report about Andrew Jackson.
Abby and Daddy started her reading minutes.
 Site word practice
 More reading!
P.E. time at The Miller Day School. Today's fitness activity, sledding!
Kensley even kept herself busy with puzzles and reading! However her daycare opened up many days before school did and she got to go for some short days to get in a good nap!

School might be closed, but the roads are clear so we need to get out of the house and have some fun with friends! We went to Flight Trampoline for a morning of bouncing our wiggles out!
