ICE

Grandma and Papa Ludie came to visit us just after Christmas.

 

We went to the National Harbor to the ICE display. For you Minnesota folks, it is like the downtown Macy's 8th floor display but it is all in ice. This year's theme was "t'was the night before Christmas". We all had to put on big blue parka jackets to keep us warm.

 Everything, even Santa and the reindeer were made out of ice.

 

Towards the end, there were ice slides you could go down. Everyone took there turn, except for me and the big belly. This was Abby's turn...

 

This was Hayden's turn, he appeared grumpy in the picture because he was a little scared at first, but he ended up wanted to go again and again and again and...

 We even got Papa up there.

 

This picture is hard to tell, but the very last room was a nativity scene all carved out of ice. It was really beautiful in person.
