At the end of July, we headed to Minnesota for vacation. Me and the kids went to Minnesota and Brendan went to Idaho to fish with his dad and brother. He joined us for our second week.
Hayden loved to sit on grandma and grandpa's deck and wave to all the boats as they went by.
One day, we headed to the beach to play in the sand and swim.
The kids called it the ocean, we had to teach them that in Minnesota, we call them lakes!

While we were in Minnesota, we made a trip out to see my Grandma and take her out to lunch. Then we played in the park.
Great Grandma Bea even found old Tinker Toys for everyone to build.

My Aunt Linda and Uncle Kurt drove up from Baton Rouge, Louisiana for their son's wedding. They stopped by our house with shrimp and alligator sausage fresh from the Gulf of Mexico. My parents invited some neighbors and we had a big feast! Yum Yum.

While in Minnesota, I got to catch up with some friends. We are at Barb's house today playing with her kids, Julia, James and Jenny and Liz came over with her kids Grace and Milo.
Another day, we went to Rachel and Pete's house to play with their son Charlie and Grace and Milo were there again too!
We swam in grandma and grandpa's pool almost every night. Hayden got brave and was able to swim on his own!
