Recovering LuLu

Our strong little dachshund LuLu has been through quite an ordeal, but is finally home and resting. Right before our Minnesota trip, LuLu started having difficulty using her back legs. This happened back in March as well. This time, the doctor got worried that this was a cronic thing for LuLu (like a lot of Dachshunds) and referred up to a nerologist. Friday I took LuLu in for an exam and seh ended up getting an MRI that indicated that her spine was 80 percent compressed by slipped disks and she required immediate surgery. LuLu came home on Monday morning and is recovering like a champ. The doctors have been very impressed with her recovery so far and expect LuLu to make a full recovery. The whole family has been so great with LuLu. As soon as she got home, Red had to check her out through the crate and give some kisses. Hayden even went right to the crate and said "LuLu". He then stuck his fingers right in the crate to say hi. When we have LuLu out of her crate for brief moments and Hayden will give her kisses and rub her neck. He has been so gentle and loving with her, it is amazing.

Abby even gets in on the action to say hi.

Abby has to give Red some loving too!
